I take the same approach to family sessions as I do to weddings: The “smile and say cheese” photos are nice to have, but not the main point of these sessions—rather, I want to show what your real life looks like. The crazy giggles, the endless energy, and maybe even some grumpy faces.

Becoming a mom myself only amplified my desire to tell the stories of this beautiful, chaotic phase of life, and deepened my appreciation for the photos that result.
