Katy and Zavier’s Chicago Winery Wedding was filled with so many happy tears, I found myself crying right along with them!
These two met in college in the midwest, but Katy is an east coast girl while Zavier is a California boy. They decided to make Chicago their home and the rest is history. Bringing their families together for the first time, they wanted to show their loved ones the city they love and what better place to do it than the Chicago Winery?
It was a scorcher of a day in the city, but Katy and Zavier made it clear to me that Olive Park portraits were high priority to them and these two were team players handling the heat. Poor Katy had layers upon layers of fabric under her dress, but I promised her I would make her portraits worth it!
Not only were these two throwing one epic party to bring their families together, they were waiting for this day to share their love. Photographing a couple as madly in love as these two is why I do this. It shows me that love is so real and that finding your person is such a joyous thing to celebrate and document. The vows they wrote brought me (and so many others) to tears! The cherry on top; the person that introduced them (shoutout Mike!) was the officiant and got to unify them in marriage; how cool!
