Whenever a couple wants beach photos, I get a little twinge of excitement in my brain. Maybe because I’m a beach lover, but I think it’s because it’s so unexpected for a Midwest engagement. Engagement photos at Lake Michigan in Chicago? Yup! Thank you, Chicago for your diverse landscape.
Kelsey is a beach girly herself, so much so that she chose Illinois State Beach Resort for her and Antonio’s wedding venue. So it only made sense to do engagement photos on the beach as well. North Avenue Beach in Chicago’s Gold Coast was the perfect backdrop for these two. Fun fact, you can actually get a sunset over the water at this beach if you go out onto the peninsula!
I just love how the beach brings out the fun side of my couples. Playful, light and so much love. I love this beach, specifically, in Chicago because you get the concrete lakeside look while also getting sand. Not to mention, a killer skyline view!
