Want North Avenue Beach engagement photos? Call me. I’m obsessed with shooting at the beach in Chicago because it challenges me to make it look like we are somewhere that isn’t the middle of the country. I just love that these engagement photos make it feel like you escaped. But yet, there’s the most beautiful Chicago skyline right there. It’s just literally the most perfect location for engagement photos.
Alyssa + Terry actually got engaged along the Chicago Riverwalk, though, so we had to start with some photos there to just commemorate that moment for them. They grabbed a beer to share and walked the famous riverwalk before they took North Avenue Beach by storm.
We got SO lucky that these evening was literally perfect, weather-wise, and the beach was serving up all the beautiful summer colors. And it didn’t hurt that these two were down for anything I asked them to do! I love them so much.
Alyssa & Terry are adding themselves to my Hall of Fame couples. Terry’s brother was the best man at Emily & John’s wedding, so Terry & Alyssa were in attendance and Alyssa had her eye on me the whole night (I learned this later). Not long after Emily & John’s day, Alyssa booked me! I just love when I get to stay in the same friend groups because it’s like coming back to old friends on a wedding day.
