I love a challenge. I’ll define a “challenge” as a scene or backdrop that isn’t my normal go-to. In this case, Joslyn + Alex opted for Medinah Country Club engagement photos that channeled that European vibe and chic energy. Let me just say, I was here for it.
Joslyn is a member of Medinah Country Club, so she pulled some strings and we were able to get the club to ourselves for their engagement photos on a day where the club was closed. Because of that, we were able to take full advantage of the architecture. It was so much fun playing with lines, arches and light in this space.
This day, it was especially humid outside. I had asked them both if they wanted any photos outside and they kind of shrugged. The inside was more important to capture. Well, we got a break in the rain and we popped outside for a few minutes. These two got engaged outside on the property, so I kind of wanted to pay homage to that. When I tell you the humidity was unbearable, it was unbearable. My camera lens fogged up immediately and I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do anything. But, stepping outside of your box grants creativity to thrive and we shot through the humid fog and got some really dreamy photos outside with a haze!
I simply cannot wait for next June with these two! Congratulations!
